Private View: Tuesday 21 January, 6pm to 9pm, official opening at 7pm
Exhibition opens: Wednesday 22 January, 10am to 5pm daily
Admission £6, Free for Friends of Mall Galleries and under 25s. Concessions available. No booking required.
The Pastel Society Art Event Evening

The Art Event Evening is an after-hours drawing and painting session, from models, with members of the Pastel Society.
A glass of wine is included and a prize is given for the best work produced.
Tickets £12 for participants, £10 to spectate, £6 for Friends of Mall Galleries.

Artist's Statement:
Having painted in oils from childhood, I discovered pastels as a sketching medium in the 1980s and quickly found an affinity with them. Within a few years I was exhibiting pastel paintings in both local and London galleries. They remain my first medium although I enjoy occasionally using oils, acrylics and collage.
Landscape subjects that appeal to me concern water, trees, beaches or townscapes which I hope to capture through the use of expressive colour.
