1. One of my large paintings (attached measuring 80cm x120cm has been selected for Egypt’s 44th General Exhibition. The work will be on show for two months in the Ministry of Culture’s Palace of Arts in the heart of Cairo.
2. I have been entrusted by the Ministry of Culture of Egypt to be a member of the Steering/Selection Committee of the Luxor International Art Symposium 2024.
This renowned international art residency is an annual gathering of international and Egyptian artists who stay in Luxor for two weeks in the winter to paint, inspired by the rich history/culture and scenery of this ancient city. The event includes visits to famous sites, plein-air painting/sketching by the Nile, artist demos/presentations, mingling with local artists/students and sampling local culture/cuisine and concludes with an exhibition of works produced.
