Education/Career

Trained in graphics at Southend School of Art. Worked in large design studio in London specialising in exhibitions. Left to become personal assistant to Alan Badcock, a successful freelance exhibition designer.

Married and moved to Canada after securing a contract with the Canadian Government to co-design the Centennial Confederation Train and Caravans and was responsible for external graphics and structures (which you can still see on the web)

Used pastels for the first time to illustrate design concepts.

After winning an AIA award for the design of a Canadian Government commercial exhibition in New York I returned to the UK to run my own design practice.

Spent the next thirty years as an international exhibition designer working with clients as varied as Canada House, British Steel, United Nations, Short Brothers, Unilever, The Building Centre, Sari Fabrics, ARC, the MOD and Tarmac.

Retired early and moved to Sussex to play and experiment with pastels.

My first public showing was a successful one man show in Lewes which was encouraging.

Exhibitions:

London, Southampton, New Arlesford, Harrogate, Cheltenham, Shrewsbury, Bath and Aldeburgh.
Also work shown in galleries in Tunbridge Wells, Lewes, Teddington and open my studio annually as part of the Lewes Artwave Festival.

For many years I have been a volunteer worker at Headway, observational drawing with people with aquired brain injury.
